A new addition to the greenhouse

The clean up has continued and the main echeverias are in place.

The empty spots are for the echeverias that were top cut and are currently in the shame while they root. I like all the miniature varieties which are coming into flower

I am half tempted when the final greenhouse is in place to build a small planting area for them as a permanent display.

So what's the new addition?  I have been spending so much time out there that our little mutt has decided she needs some space as well.

She is very much a people dog and hates not being around us when we are in.  She kept coming to find me, so I thought I would see what happened if I put a bed in there for her.  It didn't take long for her to settle in and she now spends more time in there than I do.

I would say she is guarding the plants, but you can see that is not true.

  1. Your little one is precious!. BTW you should be commended for having all those pots... I transferred a lot of mine into the ground... The hand watering was taking too much of my time. lol

    1. Thank you. When we moved we had a chance to count the pots. We stopped when we got to 400. Most are outside so don't need watering, but the greenhouse has about 200 which need watering very carefully to ensure the water doesn't get on the plants.

  2. Your pup is sweet and so good! The puppies would have eaten all those plants, sicked them up, and eaten them all over again. Plants look excellent.

    1. We actually got really luck on that front. She did go through a very small stage of thinking me planting things was a game, and she would dig them up and proudly bring them into the house to show us. But apart from that is is very good in the garden.

  3. Oh my gosh she is so darn cute! What kind of dog is she? That is a special puppy for sure and I love that she follows you around. A garden dog. And so many plants, they look great!

    1. She is half patterdale, a quarter lakeland and a quarter border. So all terrier. She looks very similar to a full patterdale and has their temperate: very good with families but really needs training and sitting on to ensure they behave while out.
