Finally
The wait is over. I have yet to have a flower on any of my more exotic plants, like the yuccas, agaves or manfredas. I see them in everyone else's blogs, and was beginning to take it personally. Then looking around the today, I found the start of the first flower on a manfreda chocolate chips. It's only small but should grow quickly, especially if this hot weather continues.
Plus it has been a lovely sunny weekend, so all if good in the succulent garden.

Congratulations! I had just commented on another blog that we are learning the art of patience. How long did you have to wait?
ReplyDeleteThis plant has actually been quick, only 2 years from buying it. But It has been 7 years since I stated properly collecting. It seems that like so many things, once the first plant flowers, you get increasing number of flowers every year. I know even in the UK agave flowers are now a yearly occurrence with some of my friends. And of course with agaves you have the mixed feelings of the plant dieing after the flower.
